Do you remember that TV ad that said “expect the unexpected”? Yeah, that is some pretty good advice, but I don’t want you to have to do that when it comes to working with me. I want you to know what to expect so that you can be at ease right from booking, all the way to purchasing your images.
step 1
call, discuss, book
When I receive your enquiry I will give you a call to discuss what type of session you would like (couples, family, solo), when, where, and what to wear.
Once all of the above is decided, we will book in your session and your $50 booking fee will be paid. This fee holds your session date and time.
I will send out my Welcome pack that contains your Contract, Invoice for your session (to be paid before your session), my Product Guide, and a Questionnaire to document your family dynamics, and clarify finish product requirements and desires.
step 2
your session
The day has come and you are ready and excited for your session. I will meet you at our agreed time and location, introduce myself in person to all attending, and then we are ready to “click away while you play”. Depending on the feel of your photos that you are after (which we would have discussed in your call and through your questionnaire), I may ask you to say some funny word, ask silly questions or pose you for your desired outcome.
step 3
purchase your images
About 4 weeks after your session you will be able to view the images from your session through a private online gallery. This is now the time that you can select the images that you love and purchase them in either print or digital form. Once you have decided on your choice of product, you can place your order through the gallery store – all in the privacy of your own home. Should you need any help in your selection or ordering, a Zoom call with me can be arranged.
step 4
display your photos
Your photos are now in your hot little hands – whether they be prints to place on the wall, coffee table or sideboard, or digitals to share on social media. I love seeing the memories that we created on display. Take a photo of how you are displaying your photos and send them into me – that would make my day.

questions
I have a list of locations where I have photographed before that I am sure would be perfect for you – from beach to farm. I photograph on location so that means I come to you. That location may be your home, a park, beach or a location that is special to you.
During our pre session call (step 1) we will discuss how you want your images to look. How they look are heavily reliant on your location and your clothing choice. It is best to keep away from checkered or stripy clothing as they can sometimes result in weird markings on your images that are viewed on a screen. Try to steer clear or “matching” outfits and aim for outfit that compliment each other with a consistent colour scheme.
As long as it is permissible to have animals at the location your session is held at, I am more than happy to include your furry family members.
I will keep an eye on the weather forcast for your session day and time. If it looks like the weather is not going to be optimal for your session, we will arrange for another session date.
That is perfectly ok that they are shy – I am too! If you let me know before your session that your child might be like this I will send over a little video message just for them so that they can get to know me before the session. I have found that this takes away some of the worry of the unknown.
Smiling – yes, us parents seem to want just smiling photos of our children. But I have formed the opinion that I would rather document what my kids really look like, than thier fake smiles. But I promise that we will get shots of their real smiles in there – they just might not be the posed portrait kind. If your kids love silly noises and jokes then we are all good.
The usual timeframe for your private gallery to be ready to view is 4 weeks after your session. There are times where this may take longer due to various reason however I will be in contact with you updating you on my progress.
You do not recevie any images as part of your Session Fee. Images and products are purchased seperately after you have received access to your private online gallery. Depending on your session type you may have 30-80 images in your gallery to purchase. I have various print packages and digital packages on offer. Check out my Product page.
